Coming from a family with a rich artistic history, Annette
was encouraged to pursue her most outstanding talent,
portraiture. She began studying portraiture formally
in 1976. She has studied the great masters, including
copying masterpieces. But more than technique is required
for a beautiful portrait."Empathy is an important quality
for a portrait painter", she states. Her paintings go
far beyond a likeness, capturing the spirit of the individual
with sensitivity and insight. Her artwork has been exhibited
in solo, local and national shows and her paintings
hang in private collections in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana,
Michigan, Missouri, New York and North Carolina. She
is a member of The Portrait Society of America.
