Pamela Phillips received her art education at Towson University
where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. She then worked as
a scientific illustrator for a number of years. Ms. Phillips is
now an award-winning artist working full time at her true love,
portrait painting. She has studied and found inspiration from such
artists as Mary Cassatt, Thomas Gainsborough, and John Singer Sargent,
as well as several contemporary portrait artists.
Pamela strives to capture the vitality, energy, and unique qualities of her
subjects. This involves a delightful combination of the right pose, facial
expression, setting, and color choices. When Pamela paints, it is with an
awareness that she is creating a family heirloom to be treasured for generations.
Ms. Phillips' portraits capture the joy and vibrancy of childhood, the dignity of
a profession, a memorable moment or a milestone in one's life.
"I have a great passion for creating beautiful art for my clients.
The process of transforming my subjects onto canvas gives me deep
satisfaction and I look forward to each new commission with enthusiasm."
Ms. Phillips continues her classical art study at Zoll Studio. Her
paintings are on display in Zoll Gallery and Worthington Gallery
in Maryland.
