PORTRAIT PROCEDURE
Ms. Weaver meets initially with a client to discuss
clothing, pose, and the client's expectations about
the portrait. This meeting may be at the artist's studio,
the client's home or office, or some other mutually
agreeable location. During this first meeting, Ms. Weaver
also photographs the subject. When a sitting is not
convenient, the client needs to provide Ms. Weaver with
photographs.
When Ms. Weaver takes the photographs herself, she
schedules a follow-up meeting for the client to review
the proofs. This gives the client and Ms. Weaver another
opportunity to discuss specifics, such as the right
background for the portrait.
One or more additional meetings may be scheduled.
When this is not practical, color photographs are mailed
to the client for approval. Following final approval,
arrangements are made for delivery of the completed
portrait. Quality frames are available for the client's
selection.
Commissions usually take three to four months from
start to finish.
