![]() I strive to capture the uniqueness of each individual. My first session with a client involves discussion of pose, background, where the portrait will hang, and most importantly, personal characteristics. 35mm photographic references are made. Color studies or Polaroid shots are tools used to establish composition and color. This usually takes an hour to two hours. In my studio, the reference photo proofs are narrowed down to eight to ten poses which are then mailed to the client for final selection of pose. Framing, if desired, is discussed at this time. The portrait is created in my studio, and at its completion, the client is invited there for final approval. If possible, I like to deliver portraits in person, especially if there is to be an unveiling. |
