Trained in New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, Jamie Lindholm combines her atellier training with intuitional realism . In doing so, she captures both the technical likeness and essential spirit and character of her subject.
Lindholm’s art has exhibited domestically from New York to Florida, as well as internationally in Sweden, Italy, Great Britain and Canada. Her work is in the permanent collections of the International Securities Exchange in New York, NY, Dancker, Sellew & Douglas , Somerset County Parks of New Jersey as well as private collections in the United States and Sweden.
Jamie is a member of the Portrait Society of America, where she held the role of the National Coordinator for their Ambassador Outreach Program until April 2015. She is now their International Ambassador. She is also a member of the Oil Painters of America and the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club.
While still creating landscapes and still life, she has a particular fondness of the allegorical portrait and concentrates mostly on private and public portrait commissions that capture the personality and spirit of her subject through likeness, allegory and metaphor.
