Procedure

The artist will travel to the client's location to obtain information to complete a commissioned portrait. Normal time would include at least a day at the client's location spending as much time as is convenient to the sitter getting to know them. During his visit the artist and client will discuss the details of the portrait including pose, clothing, and setting.

The artist will then complete a digital photo shoot. At the conclusion of the photo shoot (approximately 1 to 2 hours) the artist and the client will review the photos on a computer. Together they will make final selections for the artist to use as reference in the creation of the portrait in his studio. A one-third non-refundable deposit is due at this time.

Note: Whenever possible, I prefer to paint directly from life (as the sitters' time permits) and use reference photos for between sessions. Posing for a portrait can be a most unique and enjoyable experience for the sitter,
and I will strive to make it so.
